Our Story
Nanzi Bio Products SPRL is a social enterprise rooted in the Great Lakes region of Africa. We were founded to respond to the interconnected challenges of food insecurity, energy poverty, environmental degradation, and limited rural livelihoods with practical, market-based, and climate-smart solutions.
We work closely with smallholder farmers, producer groups, women and youth entrepreneurs, and local institutions to transform natural resources into long-term economic and environmental value through innovation, local knowledge, and responsible business practices.

We design integrated, value-chain-based interventions across four strategic pillars.
Agriculture
Climate-smart crop production, agroecology, soil fertility enhancement with biochar and organic inputs, and farmer training for resilient, income-generating farming systems.
Energy
Production of eco-friendly biomass fuels, promotion of improved cookstoves, and waste-to-energy solutions that reduce deforestation, energy costs, and health risks.
Livestock
Rabbit and pig production systems adapted to smallholder and peri-urban contexts, improving nutrition and income while valorizing manure and urine into organic fertilisers.
Environment
Sustainable biomass management, agroforestry, tree-based restoration, and climate initiatives that align with global goals while delivering tangible local benefits.
